The Division Bench of Chief Justice DN Patel and Justice Prateek Jalan had issued notice to the education department of the Delhi Government. Filed by Justice For All, the petition also wants the Directorate of Education to upload the statement of fee along with annexures filed by the recognized unaided schools of Delhi under provisions of Section 17(3) of the DSE Act, 1973. It is argued by the Petitioner that it is their right under Articles 19(1)(a), 21 and 21A of the Constitution to get access to the orders passed by the DoE. The said information, the Petitioner argues, is very crucial as it makes it clear as to whether the school demanding fee has an approval from the Directorate of Information or the fees are demanded without prior sanction. The petition says: ‘There are allegations from parents and schools that the government providing prior sanction in the case of schools at DDA land and direction to correct fee structure as directed under Modern School Vs Union of India on the basis of pick and choose. The information is most important for transparency and accountability and shall also control the corruption in the decision-making process regarding fee hike permission in recognized unaided private schools.’ As per the law laid down by the Supreme Court in Modern School v.. Union of India, a school situated on a DDA land needs to take prior permission from the DoE before making any increase in the tuition fee of the school. It is the case of the Petitioner that most of the schools deliberately failed to file their statement of fee under section 17(3) and still continuing collection of fee from parents. In the case of schools situated at the DDA land, the Petitioner argues, there is also huge deliberate pendency in the audit of account and schools are increasing fee as per their whims and fancies and there is no check and balance. The court will next take up the matter on August 07. Next Storylast_img read more

10 tips for maximum loan growth, profitability, and member retention

first_imgCredit unions are superior to other financial institutions across the nation in so many ways; yet only 30% of the U.S. population does business with credit unions. Furthermore, according to FICO’s research, only 15% of Millennials do business with credit unions while 65% do business with the big banks. So what can credit unions do to attract and retain new members, as well as increase loan growth and profitability? The answer is somewhat simple. The first step is to develop a strong Business Development Program that is relevant and adds value to companies and their employees. That said, below are 10 tips on how successful credit unions can establish a dynamic business development program to create greater relevance; add more value to businesses; and increase loan growth, profitability, and retention.Establish a full-time Business Development person or team: Business development staff should spend 75 percent of their time out of the office at scheduled onsite visits and appointments.Select the right people for Business Development: What that means is your Marketing staff isn’t necessarily the right staff for Business Development. Business development is sales driven with face-to-face interactions.Distinguish between Business Development and Public Relations: They are not one in the same! Business Development should focus on generating loans through company partnerships. Public Relations is focused on branding.Establish the right metrics to get the right results in Business Development: Monthly loan volume (just like a branch) with quality profitable loans and a focus on “New Member/New Money.”Don’t simply market the credit union as a “credit union” to businesses in the communities; market the credit union as a PARTNER: An educational partner, a resource partner, a community business partner, a preferred partner, etc., market yourself as a trusted partner looking to serve.Don’t market products and services: Market a partnership that adds value to businesses and their employees.Develop a “Preferred Partner” Program that appeals to businesses in surrounding communities.Create innovative programs that give you face-to-face access with employees regularly (a minimum of four onsite visits per year per company). Offer a unique program that helps people manage, protect, and improve their credit score.Integrate innovative programs and strategies to generate immediate loan opportunities. Offer a Millennial Program that helps them establish a credit score within six months…that kind of program creates loyalty.Track the right results through Business Development: loans, loans, and loans; not just membership.Credit unions continue to experience unprecedented good times these days in just about every performance category. Using these 10 tips, you can create your formula for success to ensure you experience the same relentless loan growth, profitability, and member retention your peers are for the remainder of 2015 and beyond.Stay tuned for next month’s write up when we explore multiple credit union success stories using these tips.In the meantime, what tips are you using to experience success? 41SHARESShareShareSharePrintMailGooglePinterestDiggRedditStumbleuponDeliciousBufferTumblr,Celeste Cook Celeste Cook is founder and President/CEO of cuStrategies, LLC, which provides strategic planning services, consulting services, and training programs to the credit union industry. Whicker: Walker Buehler, Dodgers know the advantages of winning Game 163

first_img How Dodgers pitcher Ross Stripling topped the baseball podcast empire SAN FRANCISCO — What to make of this Monday afternoon in Dodger Stadium? How many will attend a 163rd game that will determine nothing of substance except convenience? How willing are the Dodgers and Rockies ready to sell out for playoff position? The answer was on Justin Turner’s cellphone.Someone wanted to know if he’d have a chance to catch video of German Marquez, Colorado’s starting pitcher in this National League West title-decider. The Angels did that in 2005, thanks to rain in the Division Series. They were in New York on Sunday, home on Tuesday and Chicago on Wednesday, and by the weekend they could barely lift a bat and lost the ALCS in five.“It’s not do-or-die, but it’s a must-game,” Roberts said, and it made perfect sense.“If you win the division, you play a fresh series,” Turner said. “If you lose the division, you play a Game 7 right out of the gate.”Buehler, the Vanderbilt alum, said it reminded him of NCAA regional competition. The best way to win is to stay in the winners’ bracket. If you lose, you’re burning through more pitchers, you’re playing on a tightrope every night.“It’s kind of weird to say it, but it’s true,” Buehler said. “It’s like win or go home, but not really.”A victory Monday allows Clayton Kershaw and Hyun-jin Ryu to face the Braves and keeps the pitching wheel on its axis. A loss Monday means some improvisation for Tuesday, although Alex Wood would be ready and able. The usual stuff from Buehler, backed by a fairly fresh bullpen, could make life simpler.“He’s calmed down on the mound as the year has gone on,” Kenley Jansen said. “I’m not talking about velocity, but he’s not out there going 120 mph. I think you’re seeing a superstar in the making. He’s built for this, you can see.”Marquez is on the same track. He struck out the first eight Phillies he faced on Wednesday. On June 30 he two-hit the Dodgers through eight innings and beat them 2-1. He has posted a quality start (at least six innings, no more than three earned runs) in 15 of his past 16 assignments, and is 14-10 after he was 9-9 on Aug. 8.So much for the Giants yearning to derail their rivals. The Dodgers outscored them 28-7 for the weekend. And it reminded that 162 games are longer than they used to be.Related Articles Dodgers’ Max Muncy trying to work his way out of slow start Cody Bellinger homer gives Dodgers their first walkoff win of season “I’m calling up the video right now,” he said, sitting in a clubhouse full of Dodgers, 10 of whom scored in this 15-0 win over the Giants that completed a sweep of the three-game series.East of here, the Rockies were similarly businesslike in thrashing the Nationals and preserving the tie.The answer was also in the Dodgers’ choice of Monday pitchers. Walker Buehler will not be saved for whatever follows.“He’s our best,” Manager Dave Roberts said. Since July 31 Buehler has shaved his ERA from 3.65 to 2.76, and when he faced the Rockies on Sept. 19 he struck out 12 of them in six innings. If the Dodgers win they will earn two precious off days before they would play host to the Atlanta Braves in the NLCS. If they lose they go to Chicago or Milwaukee for a wild-card knockout game Tuesday, which would give them three games in three days in three locales.center_img Dodgers hit seven home runs, sweep Colorado Rockies On March 29-30 the defending NL champions lost a pair of 1-0 games at home to San Francisco, with Joe Panik hitting game-winning home runs off Clayton Kershaw and Jansen. The Giants won 71 games the rest of the way, the Dodgers lost 69, and Panik hit only two more homers. On Sunday it took the Dodgers five minutes to score twice. On Saturday Max and Cathy Hickey, of Visalia, sat in prime seats behind home plate. He’s a Dodgers fan and he wore a “Roseboro 44” jersey. She’s a Giants fan and she wore a “Marichal 27” jersey. She used to wear Sergio Romo’s jersey but someone mischievously told her she should commemorate Marichal instead. She didn’t know that on Aug. 22, 1965, Marichal held up a bat and, with two hands, slammed it against Roseboro’s head during a pennant race. The Dodgers won that pennant and Marichal was suspended 10 games, laughable by today’s jurisprudence. But Marichal became friends with Roseboro and spoke at his funeral.Today’s baseball is more peaceable, with second-chance showdowns and swollen playoffs. Whether the bizarre 2018 season will be kept in the scrapbook of good old days is doubtful, and to be determined. At this point the Dodgers just want days. FUFA set to defy NCS, calls new rules archaic

first_imgUOC president Blick (left), FUFA VP Mbidde (middle) and Magogo (right) at the press briefing on Thursday. PHOTO BY FUFASoccer governing body FUFA insist they will defy new regulations for them to register with National Council of Sports NCS.FUFA president Moses Magogo told the press on Thursday that not only are the rules useless in the effort to move sport forward, but some clash with statutes of their international soccer governing body FIFA. He instead called for dialogue to resolve the impasse, following an ultimatum of June 30 to comply.“The new laws are old and useless since they don’t solve the problems of sports industry. From 1964 to 2014, we haven’t attributed our successes in sports to regulations. Sports activity is a dynamic industry that will require amendments in regulation,” Magogo said Thursday.“We have fulfilled 99% of the new guidelines and failed to consent towards a clause regarding trustee. We told NCS from the start of this exercise that there would be a flaw with FIFA  Statutes if we registered as a Trustee. We have contacted NCS for audience but they have refused to get back to us.”Magogo told the press at the Uganda Olympics Committee offices that focus should be on amendments of the NCS ACT that governs Uganda sport. “We asked for an extended time to October 31 so that we could have a general assembly according to FIFA’s statutes, however to our dismay, there was no response to our matter.”Out of 50 associations, only 17 are nationally recognised by NCS as sports associations and new regulations the body set last year. “We are at a time when Uganda Cranes is preparing for an AFCON qualifier against Botswana next weekend and instead of looking for the over sh800m needed for the fixture – NCS is not contributing anything to this – here I am discussing issues that are meant to destroy sport in this country.  Instead, just yesterday I got a letter telling me of a 30th June 2016 deadline.”Uganda Table Tennis Association (UTTA) president Robert Jjagwe was saddened by what he called the “antagonistic nature and conduct of NCS.” He added that “NCS interference is detrimental to the game and sport activities.”However NCS General Secretary Nicholas Muramagi says FUFA have had enough time to prepare themselves to meet the new regulations and register.“We don’t consider it a registered national association. They should fulfill the guidelines, register at a fee and thereafter acquire a certificate of recognition.”Uganda Olympic Committee (UOC) president William Blick advised NCS to engage federations. “International laws are very important and help govern sport from an international perspective. I am afraid if  NCS stick to their guns national sports federations are going to have problems and I do not  want to see this happen. I therefore urge members to sit down and talk.”Share on: WhatsApplast_img read more
